Experience adventure with a purpose. More than a tourism company, we are a network of entrepreneurs & conservationists who know, care, celebrate and protect Colombia’s ecosystems and cultures. In partnership with local communities, sustained by these natural environments, we welcome curious and conscious travelers to play an active role in Colombia’s positive and peaceful transformation.
Our passion is to not only take people to Colombia’s most wild places, but to also protect them. We want the world to discover and value Colombia as one of the planet’s richest countries in terms of cultural and biological diversity. We show how our voices are necessary to ensure vital ecosystems and cultures are conserved, instead of being drastically altered by big business or tourism at a critical turning point in Colombia’s history and development. We don’t just talk the talk – we own it, we started our own foundation with the support of local river communities to be the voice for river conservation. Together, our voices are being heard – by government, big corporations and the media.
Jules Domine has traveled to over 15 countries as a hydrologist and professional athlete in the sport of whitewater kayaking. His unusual inclination towards committing, multi-day expeditions in remote natural environments, combined with unique wilderness skillsets, has resulted in the first descents of 10 major rivers, including the first solo descent in kayak of Canada’s Grand Canyon of the Stikine.
Throughout his travels, he realized he couldn’t go from one pristine river to the next, before it was polluted or dammed. He decided to stay in Colombia and work to protect its rivers. Here remains some of the world’s last wild clean rivers and ecosystems, but more importantly, a community of resilient, resourceful, and warm people brave enough to stand up to protect them.

“These guys are organized and passionate about every aspect of the trip; from the rafting to the surroundings you pass through, and bringing awareness to the challenges facing Colombia rivers and ecosystems. Safety measures are fully covered, and rafters are fully equipped with all necessary gear, including a fulfilling lunch along the way. There is so much to take in, therefore a second go is practically a must and well worth it. “

"Fantastic hiking and rafting experience! We just concluded a fantastic experience with Expedition Colombia. Our family of four, including 2 teenagers, was picked up at our hotel, driven to the starting point for our excursion, then hiked 2 1/2 hours to the Rio Verde. It was a two day hiking and whitewater rafting experience, with an overnight at the jungle "camp". It was a fantastic experience all around – the guides (Mael and Theo) were personable, experienced and knowledgeable. We loved the whitewater rafting on the Rio Verde and the experience of camping in the jungle. As with other reviewers on trip advisor, we swam in the river, jumped off rocks and ran the rapids. The water was warm and the scenery beautiful."

" Awesome Samana River Trip! One of the best river I've never paddle, beautiful environment and great organization of the 2 days river trip, by Jules, Mika, Mael and Kevin. Visit this valley and help Expedition Colombia to save this amazing river from the threat of a Dam !"

"Unforgettable Adventure! Hiking to the Paramo de Belmira was unbelievable! It was a steep start but worth the climb. Make sure to bring enough water if the sun is out, because I can get hot, but be prepared for chance of rain. The scenery was stunning for the entire hike and the view from the top of the mountain was breathtaking. I'm talking about being awestruck, not from the elevation. Would absolutely recommend it!"

"My fiancé and I went on a 2 day whitewater rafting trip and it was amazing! We hiked and camped in a hammock overnight in the middle of the jungle, and of course, rafted for 2 days. Normally all the above would scare me a lot, but I felt safe with this group and had a great time!! Jules and crew were very knowledgeable about the ecosystem and the rivers and made everything super fun! Whenever I go back to Colombia, I'm definitely signing up for another trip with them-- which, by the way, Jules was excellent in setting up/modifying this trip according to our schedule needs and easy to correspond with over email. Thanks all for a memorable trip!!
